Practicing Birthday Cakes

My friend wanted to give me the chance of practising cakes
so she asked me to make her kids birthday cakes!
one 14 year old wanted a union jack.
its all chocolate on the inside!

her other 14 year old (yes twins) wanted a chocolate galore cake
this was my favourite to do maybe cause there was no expectations
3 layers of chocolate sponge with butter cream
with dairy milk icing on top
and as you can see chocolate fingers and buttons around the outside
and flake on top

then her 16 year old wanted the little character from the edf energy adverts

I'm still learning to work with regal icing so this cake isn't covered up as much as I'd like but like I said these are practice cakes and like everything else I don't get much time with my cake baking.
This cake is 6 and a bit layers- was kinda fun to make.
also chocolate!

all 3 cakes were very well received and thoroughly enjoyed!

My Baby is one!

OK so I didn't make this one myself but we all still enjoyed it!

lots of pressie's for the birthday girl
there's even a zebra hiding behind all those presents!

here's what we bought with her birthday pennies
"peepo mummy"

One of Melissa's presents was a pushchair
which she absolutely adores!
" I love my pushchair mummy"

and off she ventures into her second year..........
